From an early age, Chef Prateek Basu found his calling in the art of hospitality. His passion for culinary excellence took shape while still in school, leading him to compete in the prestigious National Chef Competition, which is a rare honor for such a young talent.
Before completing his studies, Chef Basu joined Hyatt Kolkata’s Italian specialty restaurant, marking the beginning of a distinguished career across luxury resorts and global fine-dining kitchens.
Today, as Director of Culinary at Wyndham Grand Barbados – Sam Lord’s Castle, Chef Basu leads a diverse team driven by creativity, authenticity, and passion. His culinary philosophy blends local ingredients with global inspiration, crafting dishes that delight the palate and tell the story of Barbados in every bite.
